Hello,
I have enjoyed a much needed break during Christmas. Debbie made the house
so beautiful. She really knows how to decorate and I loved it. I took notice
though, along with seasonal changes, can come other changes. Even in my
country, which I love, the good ole U.S.A., I was hearing so much negativity
about the nation itself and negativity in general, which created a very
dismal mood. Christians can sometimes be blamed for giving people false
hope, but I disagree. In fact, if your hope is rooted in anything other than
God and His Word, then I am afraid it's built on sinking sand.
Lately, I have been preaching a lot out of Acts 27. The main thing the Lord
has been impressing on me is this: If God's in it, there is always reason to
hope. You can be in a situation that "looks" like all hope is lost or has
been given up and not know that there is every reason for you to be
encouraged. We don't need to jump ship on our life, family, faith, church or
nation. God has a plan.
I have posted my itinerary and I would love to see you to personally thank
you for all your love, prayers, and support. We just finished the best year
of our ministry graduating 62, on fire, nation changing, leaders. It's been
a wild ride but one I wouldn't trade for anything. We've also have a place
for you to partner with us financially which is much needed. I return to
Tanzania at the end of April and the whole year starts over again. We are
excited about the future of Tanzania, because we can literally see how the
training of leaders is changing the nation.
There is always supernatural hope if you are in Christ. I have found it the
best place to be.
